Everyone elected on November 3 takes office on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, and I'll update this list then. Calls and emails to legislators' Capitol offices reach them during the session and most weeks outside it. The Florida Legislature switchboard is (850) 717-5400.

County boards, school boards and the Legislature meet in public, and most take public comment. Each meeting below says where it came from: the body's own calendar, its published dates, or its regular schedule, which can change. Confirm the time before you go.

Your county government and school boards

Florida has 67 counties, and unless a county charter provides otherwise, each is governed by an elected board of county commissioners with five or seven members serving staggered four-year terms. Some counties run under home rule charters, including Miami-Dade, and Duval County is consolidated with the City of Jacksonville into a single government.

The Florida Legislature

The 2027 session runs from Tuesday, March 2, 2027 to Friday, April 30, 2027.

Committee meetings are open to the public, and you can ask to speak on a bill or topic on the agenda. In the Senate, fill out an Appearance Record and give both copies to the committee staff at the meeting; it cannot be sent in online. In the House, fill out the online Appearance Request for the meeting and hand two printed copies to the committee assistant, or send written testimony to the committee if you cannot attend. Time may not allow everyone to speak, so speakers may be asked to keep it short.
